HOW LYO IS FUNDED

Doing what we do involves significant expenditure and careful fiscal planning. The truth is we cannot survive on ticket sales alone. We are very fortunate to receive direct financial support from Artforms Leeds.

Over and above this, we still rely on the generosity of others to keep the shows running.

HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT THE WORK WE DO

First and foremost, we hope that you do come to see our shows. Cheer on the young people and experience the operas directly, while knowing your ticket price is supporting the society directly.

For those interested and able to do more, we greatly appreciate contributions of any sort. Give money directly to the Society, and know you are significantly supporting the ongoing health and sustainability of the society. Some give a single donation (thank you!). Most choose to join our family of Friends Of LYO, giving consistent amounts each year (doubly thank you!).

We run a friendship scheme for those able to make a consistent donation to the work of Leeds Youth Opera. For us, regular small donations make running the society easier than occasional larger donations. If you value what we do, especially if you or your family have benefited from LYO directly, please consider becoming a LYO Good Friend.

Repeating Donation = £50 a year.

You get our heartfelt appreciation plus LYO Friends email updates on rehearsals and performances.

£50 a year can make a tangible difference to the operatic experiences we offer our members.

If you can offer more, £100 a year would also mean you are sponsoring a page in our program for each production. Just tell us when you write to us, including any specific text you would like to see.
